Levada tours - Hiking on Madeira

2. please check if the levada is open the day before starting to drive: https://ifcn.madeira.gov.pt/pt/atividades-de-natureza/percursos-pedestres-recomendados/percursos-pedestres-recomendados.html (encerrado = closed)
3. If you're planning a hike please use the komoot app - available on google play and app-store

• Paul do Mar: One of the rare tours where it's not necessary to use a hiking app: Starting at the beautiful old harbour of Paul do Mar near Vivenda do Mar Madeira: click here to open the start point in google maps

If you want to do it the easy way: Leave the car at the old harbour and call a taxi to bring you to Miradouro do Prazeres. Then take the hiking trail down to Paul do Mar. But be aware of the incline.
